tomatoes, tomatoes, tomatoes and toddler in the garden

tonight we headed out to check the garden. This is the amount of tomatoes I could get to- there are more and they are ripe. Bucket- 3/4 full- which is alot of tomatoes
The bucket from the front- I think this would be 2 quarts approximately.
We also had a zucchini- but Bug decided to bite into it multiple times while I was picking tomatoes- so now that is in the compost pile since his bite rendered the zucchini uneatable in my mind- especially since they usually sit on the counter for a few days. I think the zucchini plant is almost done for the year- the onions have fallen over and the potatoes leaves are starting to brown up.
The cucumber, peppers and tomatoes are still going strong.
Tomorrow night- we start painting Mariposa's room- yea!!! She arrives in 3 weeks, I think we will be done in 2 weeks with everything in her room.
Love and hugs,
Deb

2nd post- annual reunion picture of Bug

Here is the annual review of Bug at the FTIA reunion
2007- home about 8 weeks. he looks so tiny here
2008- refusing to smile or look at the camera. Still has the "baby" look- but becoming more little boy

2009- All littl boy. Wow- it is amazing to see how much he has grown over the last 2 years.
Love and hugs,
Deb

Pictures for Mariposa- electrical outlets

Mariposa-
here are pictures of our outlets and the 2 types of plugs that can be used here in the US.This is a standard plug- or an ungrounded plug. Most small household items have this type of plugs- radios, lamps, etc.

This is a grounded plug or 3 prong plug. This is the plug on my computer. These types of plugs are used for appliances that draw lots of electricity- like computers, stoves, etc.
This is an outlet- it accepts both types of plugs.
Again, I have an adaptor you can use and I can gt more at the computer store near us if need be.
Love to you,
Deb

recap of the weekend in Indy- lots of photos

We had a great time in Indy, the visit culminated with an evening with D and his family. It is hard to believe that these 2 are a year apart in age. D is going to start kindergarten this year, Bug is maybe an inch shorter. Bug wears a larger shoe size, but both boys wear the same size clothes. Unbelievable. It is hard to get both boys smiling at the same time.

Rock star D

Bug loving on D's sister A.

This is how the picnic ended- the kids digging in the sand

Y preparing to bat

M batting

Little M batting

Bug preparing to knock the ball out of the park. Seriously- he was hitting them and they were going beyond the shelter we were sitting in.

Bug's future wife E. Unfortunately for A and I, I think the kids are already deciding to follow their own hearts. bug declared that Y is his best friend and refused to talk to E. E refused to look at Bug.

Little M, T and Y- our pals.

This is Bug's accident. Bug pushed a bi fold door shut and it pinched his hand. We ended up with bandages and his hand wrapped. Debbie from FTIA helped to show me how to wrap it as I only had band aids on it to start the day. It is looking much better today.

Bug and Momma at a the park

Ye,s the carousel was a hit.

And the annual picture on the swing. I will post the previous year's pictures tomorrow.
