Pinewood derby and last basketball game

Saturday was pinewood derby and the last basketball game. 

We had a good 2 hours with friends at the pinewood derby.  Bug is in the 3rd group (Den) since he is a Bear this year.  Bug's car did great, but he was off the podium again.  But he learned lots, had fun and is ready for next year.

I had a helper with taking pictures.  El's girls were with us for the pinewood derby.  C was my extra camera helper.

After the derby, we had about an hour at home before we had to leave for the last basketball game.  We were playing a team that lost close games.  I don't understand why teams that have loosing records are put into a tournament.  It does not make sense to me.  The game was played in the school Mam attended 60 years ago.  The gym is still the same, but the school classrooms are all different.

Our coach was not here, but T stepped up.  I really like him.  I hope he coaches next year.

It was a long day and a long basketball season.  I am so happy that basketball is done for the year.

 

I have one week home with Bug and then I am off to Barcelona, Spain for a business trip. I am looking forward to warmer weather, but I am not looking forward to being away from Bug.
