The boy/man-child is playing football this year. I am slightly worried- he is not one to engage opponents nor is he one to get into the middle of things. But I have decided this is something he wants to do and I will let the coaches deal with his performance on the field.
In his practice jersey, he is #36. Once they start regular season games, he will be #40.
He needs to be a little more physical with the opposing team, but coaches are telling him that he just needs to be a wall, because if he grabs the jersey, then it is a penalty.

Aidan's team won 12-0 in this first scrimmage. He has another scrimmage this coming Friday and regular season games start 28Aug.
