The day started off pretty negatively for hijo. His scheduled doctor visit was earlier than expected. They called at 8 am asking if we could be there at 8:30. We made it.
Hijo officially measures at 43 inches and 42 pounds.
He is healthy and developing normally.
The bad part of the visit- 2 shots- one in each leg. he needed the 2 vaccines for school. he needs one more vaccine in order to start school- so we have another visit scheduled for early August.

Momma getting some love too as watching her baby get shots is not easy and having to help hold him for the vaccines is not easy either.
30 minutes after the shots- a happy hijo at the play area at McDonalds. he just wanted to play, which was fine with me.
Then off to butterfly show again- hijo's choice.
The volunteer at the show said hijo was so patient, which is why he got to hold so many butterflies. he definitely was the most patient of all the kids in the exhibit.
We came home and picked lots of strawberries from the garden. We ate them in under 5 minutes. They were delicious.
This evening, Nina came over to say goodbye. She reached out to me via email about 2 weeks ago and asked to see us after she apologized. So I took the chance and I am glad I did. Hijo was very happy to see her and I am glad to have a positive ending to our experience. She leaves for home in 3 weeks and we will not see her again.
So that was our day- a vacation day for me and a pretty good day for hijo.
