Swimming with our friends

In the heat today, we headed out to the pool with J and N  (check the link for her pictures of the fun today- she should have the pictures by the end of Sunday) for some fun.  We would have normally gone to pool close to our house, but that pool is under repair, so we headed over to the pool near Auntie Lulu's house.  This pool was completely rebuilt over the Spring, so this was our first time there.  The kids pool area is awesome!!!! zero entry (like a beach entry) at both ends and the pool is huge.  The regular pool is great too- the water was warm (in our pool it would still be cold this time of the summer) and the best part is that it is heated and is open until NOVEMBER!!!  Not that I plan on swimming outside until November, but swimming through September is wonderful thing.

Hijo has lots of issues with water in his eyes, so I bought him some goggles and he loved them.  He was in the water for 3 hours and he never had an issue.  Yes, you read that right, he was playing the water for 3 hours.   We played outside for 2 hours and then headed into the water park for another hour.

After swimming, J and I took the boys to Chipotle for dinner.  They have kids meals now.  I am not sold on the kids meal yet as hijo wants different things then are on the meal plan or wants more.  So we'll see if this continues.   On the drive home, he was sound asleep!!!

I think I should have thought about going to the pool more often during all this hot weather here.  But to be honest, it is more fun with friends - for both Hijo and me.  Without friends, hijo and I are ready to go within 1-1.5 hours.

Tomorrow is Welcome to Kindergarten party at Hijo's school- what a birthday present for my little man.
