Easter 2013

The Easter bunny stopped by last night.  He left a Easter bucket for everyone in the family and left some extra candy just in case we needed  more.

Bug had 20 plastic eggs to find this morning.  I had to go wake Bug up at 8 am because he was still sleeping.  I was getting anxious for candy and some Easter eggs.

Bug, looking for eggs- apparently he saw these last night on the way to bed, (he fell asleep on the couch- the Easter Bunny thought he would be too sleepy to notice the eggs in place at midnight when Momma went to bed).

Bug's basket, with some 'hidden' Easter eggs.  Bug received a Lego set.  I also pulled out his Easter decorations that he made in Kindergarten.

Bug and Pablo, very happy on this happy Easter morning.

Our Easter eggs, that we dyed on Saturday.

Pablo even got a big bone for Easter.

circus and piano recital

Saturday, we headed to the circus with J and N.  The boys had been looking forward to this event for weeks.
Our cute boys- oh wait, they are handsome not cute, since they are not babies any more.

Bug's  favorite part- the lions and tigers.

Momma and Bug. I think I actually like this picture of me.

acrobats (gymnasts) in glass balls (think clear Christmas ornaments. They were really cool.

J and N. Cute family, good friends.

7 motorcycles in a small metal cage- really one of Bug's favorite

The dragon

The lion and tamer on the disco ball

Today, Bug has his piano recital.  He played a nursery song- "a tisket a tasket".

focusing really hard on his music

more focusing

his medal for participation

and the funniest part, Bug rushing off stage after finishing his song.

we have 8 more busy days before Spring break and they are busy 8 days.  Spring break will be a mix of some fun activities and some resting activities.
Love and hugs,
Deb

catching up yet again- busy 2 weeks

It has been busy few weeks  at our house.  I had to go to Boston for work.  My hotel was Charles River this time, looking at Boston from Cambridge.  The view was a like a postcard. The other nice thing about the trip was that I got to meet some other colleagues whom I have worked with for 5 years but whom I have not met before.

This is M.  She is the project manager on my study.  We talk on the phone every week.  It was really nice to meet her her face to face finally.

I also got to meet T again.  We had dinner one night.  She drove almost 100 miles one way to see me.  She is awesome.

The downside  to this trip was the snow. While it was pretty on Thursday, Friday brought 4 inches of snow and delays at the airport.  Of those of us who traveled to Boston for the meeting, only 2 of use made it home on Friday.  My flight arrived home about an hour late, but I still got home.

Saturday morning Bug, Mam and I met up with J and N for a trip to the Home and Garden Show.  Bug rode a bike to light a light bulb.  It is not as easy as it looks.

Handsome little men.  They are at the age that they want every single flyer from every booth.  We nearly had a meltdown in every aisle.

Thank goodness we found the giant tractors to distract them

And the haystack playground area from the garden center with kid friend ideas to let them play in

Group picture with some one (N) not complying with the photo.  These boys have a mind of their own now.

Sunday, the weather was nearly 70 degrees F and I took Bug, Pablo and Mam to the park.  Pablo was so excited.  Bug was too, but he knew what to expect.

Some playing

some sliding

some snacks- while telling the dog to stay away.
some playing around while feeding the ducks
Pablo quietly begging to go 'play' with the ducks and geese.

Please, please, please let me go over there by the water?????  Pablo nearly ended up in the water 3 times trying to get to the ducks.
One happy Bug.

Later tonight, pictures from this weekend- the circus and Bug's first Piano recital.

Love and hugs,
Deb

Auntie Lulu's almost birthday

Auntie Lulu's birthday was the 28th and we had planned to celebrate her birthday on the 24th, but she got sick (she called us at 10 pm on the 23rd).  Bug had been talking about a birthday party for his bears, so we celebrated their birthdays.  We had a visitor- Buzzy, a bee from school, spent the weekend with us.  Buzzy enjoyed the party.

We planned a second party for Auntie Lulu on 03Mar and she got sick again.  Her family came over and ate her cake this time. Poor Auntie Lulu.

Love and hugs,
Deb
