Senior photos- first batch

I cannot believe that the young man is a senior this year and is nearly an adult in the eyes of the law.   How is that even possible????  Where has the time gone?   Above is the "required" senior picture for school- seniors don't get their photos at school as part of picture.  No, you have to go to a specific photo studio and have the picture taken, and of course, the studio takes additional pictures so they can get you to buy more.  And of course, the packages for senior photos are not cheap.

This is the photo I loved.  To get one copy, it was over $100!!!!!  I bought some wallets - because my young man looks fine.

Actually, this is the yearbook photo that school needs- blue background.

Uncle Dave is taking his regular senior photos- usually candid photos showing the personality of the senior.  We went downtown to get some photos at twilight.  I love our riverfront park.  The young man picked this location.  In late fall, we'll get pictures at a local park near the waterfalls, then he wants pictures in the Spring in his track uniform.  Multiple locations and changes of clothes are included in the package we ordered from Dave's business- www.dauntlessphotography.net.

The young man on the Roebling Bridge.  lots of background noise in this picture.   He would have looked better in a white tee shirt, but he refused to bring another shirt. I cropped the picture and it is the last picture in this post.

Football season started - so far the Lancers have won both games, the last one 70-7

I picked up some sunflowers at the market- only one more weekend for the market.

doggie boy sleeping under the covers in my bed.

Another picture from the senior pictures.  you can see the Roebling bridge above him

I cropped the photo I liked - it needs editing, but this is one I really love.  It takes out all the "noise" from around the bridge entrance and focuses on the important thing- the young man.

He is now talking about going to college, so we are busy working on his essay- I proofread it for him.

Love and hugs,
Deb

Starting Senior year

It is so hard to believe that the young man is starting his last year of high school.  It has been a ride with him.
He has decided not to go to college right away and will be working a labor job.

This summer he worked making fiberglass statues for the national park service (for their camping grounds).  He did well, but he says it was too hot and sticky.

First day of school.  I made his smile.

We started senior pictures- his school requires a specific headshot and we could not use our own photographer.  So here are the ones we liked.  this one right here is over $100 for just a 5x7 picture.

more pictures coming as the year progresses.
