Great American Ball Park and Reds Hall of Fame

Bug's scout troop had an outing today.  We had the opportunity to tour the baseball stadium and the Reds Hall of Fame.  We headed downtown right before noon and had time to play on Crosley Terrace (the front area of the ball park).

The others arrived and we headed into the Reds Hall of Fame t start our tour.

We got to see the press box area.  I like the view, but learned that the reporters in this area are usually silent- a gentleman's agreement from long ago to not cheer for or against the teams they are reporting on is still in effect.

We were not allowed in the clubhouse, but we got to see the door, and then other end of the clubhouse is the dugout on the field, which we saw later.

3 stories of baseballs- representing all the hits Pete Rose had during his career.
this is the first story.

And here is the top, on the 3rd floor.

The championship room in the Hall of Fame- this is the 1975/1976 Reds.  I remember these world series games.

Bug, trying to throw a strike.  It is harder than it looks. I took a couple of tries, thankfully no one got pictures.

Ending our tour in the mock up of the dugout with manager Sparky Anderson.  We are ready coach, put us in the game.

Love and hugs,
Deb
