catching up- lots to post, be prepared.

There are 3 posts coming tonight.  Trying to catch up with all the events over the last month.

Let's start with saying good bye to BB.  His time with us ended on Monday, 29Jun, but bug was heading to scout camp on 28Jun, so we went out as a family to the Japanese Sushi place close to us.  as you can see, both boys were overwhelmed with excitement (that is sarcasm).  I think it was very emotional for everyone- the sadness of leaving/saying good bye and the anticipation of life as everyone knew it getting started again, both here and in Japan.  Such a juxtaposition of emotions.

BB had sushi- YUMMMMM

And I had the staff sing the celebration song for him.  I tried to take video, but completely messed up.  Just imagine BB dancing and singing and having a good time, bug smile on his face.

he even got some cheese cake.

But I took the boys out for graters for dessert.

On Saturday, we (Bug and I) headed to Cousin Kristen's wedding.  I received a wrist flower as Kristen's god mother.  Most unexpected, but most appreciated.

Bug and I before the wedding.

With mam.  Pap has not talked to Bug and I since Feb 2014 and he did not attend the wedding.

Kristen and Tiffany exchanging their vows.  It was beautiful ceremony for a beautiful couple.  So glad to share this day with both of them.  This was also the day that the US Supreme Court declared that states must recognize all Gay marriages. what a great day for their marriage.

The pastor finished off the colored sands container we all made- all the guest picked a color and pour it into the glass box and as time passes, the different layers will merge together.

The happy couple.

the gorgeous cake

I really liked the decorations on the cake.

We were asked to take certain pictures, one was of yummy desserts- I think fruit is a great dessert.

cookies are yummy too

Bug liked them.

first dance as a married couple

We went to King's Island earlier in the month with a friend of BB's.

We went to Rockwood to say good bye to friends going to back to Ukraine. This was a pottery factory back in the 1800s-to early 1900s.  Pottery is still made under this name, just not made at this location.

We had a good bye party for BB.  We gave him this poster of things from Cincinnati set up in ABC format.

this is the outfit BB planed to wear home to Japan.  I think he got the USA spirit.

complete with flashing hair piece

I have already posted out trip to Michigan.  Lots of things packed into the last few weeks in the US.

Love and hugs,
Deb
