catching up from our vacation

So things have been pretty busy around here since we got home.

I have been fairly quiet about things that have been in the works and I knew once we got home, things would be moving pretty fast.

The weekend of 30Jun2018, we had sis and bubby spending the weekend.  The siblings are in foster care here and the county was looking to move them to us.  in the end only sis moved to us.  I can not show you her face due to privacy issues.  She is settling in.  Rocket is glad to have someone else in the house, although both of them still can't figure out what to do without me making suggestions to them.

Here they are making pizza for dinner on Friday night.

We went to the soccer game with Rocket's school- though there was no one from the school that I recognized in our section

this is our initial section- but the sun was very hot and shining in our faces, so we moved to empty seats across the field.

Rocket's buddies came over to sit with us.  I like this picture of all the boys stretched along the seats!!!

Bubbie and sis watching the fireworks.

Rocket and E discussing something.

Sunday, we made homemade peach ice cream.  we are definitely trying this again.

Rocket and sis in Chewbacca heads while we were out shopping for "entertainment" (AKA games, crafts and puzzles)

this past weekend, we finally got to celebrate cousin Jas' 26th birthday.

out last Tuesday with friends for Taco Tuesday dinner.

Sis moved in on Tuesday- literally with 2 hours notice that she was coming.  Bubbie wanted to remain with his current foster family due to sports and school and his request was honored.  Now we just have to get the kids together every so often for sibling visits.
Wednesday was 4th of July and we all got up at 5 am to get ready to go set up for the 5K run that is in honor of one of Rocket's school mates.  His friend died between K and 1st grade due to cancer.   Sis just jumped right in and pulled her weight and more.

I think that is it for today.  Love and hugs,
Deb
