catching up as always

a few weeks ago, I took the boys downtown on Saturday after Aidan's football game- the weather was finally cooler (not 90 + F).  We walked around the river front area and went to the top of the tallest building in our city.

Aidan has been the point after kicker for the team.  So some shots from the last few games. He is #40

I took the older boys to the pumpkin festival last weekend- we liked the donuts the best, though these pumpkins were cool.

the festival was in Hamilton- the boys are standing in front of his statue on the main street.

Friday night, we went to the major football rivalry for their school- St. X.  we had to stop for dinner first- chipotle- YUMMMM

We won the game on the last play (the other team could have scored but our defense held).  it was a beautiful night.

Saturday was Aidan's game- it was chilly to start, but then warmed up.  Thanks Stacy for the hat!!!!!!!

Walking by the stands for the final warm up - brothers in arms.  Aidan is the last row in the picture, closest to the stands.
He marches out in the second row.

Sunday, the boys scouts had an offer with the Bengals for cheaper tickets for scouts- so I bought tickets and we went to the game.  Note, none of my other AFS students have gotten to go to a professional football game because the tickets are so expensive.  In this case, we got tickets for 1/3 the normal price!!!!

In our nose bleed seats- in the direct sun.  yep- we moved 1/2 way through the first quarter.   Since our team has not won a game yet this year, there were lots of open seats on the other side of the stadium (in the shade).

On our walk around the stadium

In our new seats- in the shade.  We ended up leaving in the 4th quarter when our quarterback was intercepted 3 times.  yes, another loss for the home team, but I will still watch the next game because I am ever hopeful that they will win.

Love and hugs,
Deb
