soccer playing Bug

Bug is in his next section of soccer.  He is loving it.  He is the oldest and tallest, but the next level up plays after Bug's bedtime and Bug is not a happy person when he does not get 10 hours of sleep a night.

And he did a great job.  He made sure the ball stayed out of his team's goal and sent the ball back down the field.

Snow and Hermano spends the night again

Friday night started the weekend adventure- hermano is with us.  Tia and Tio had some things to do and asked if we could watch Hermano (YES!!!!!) Due to our planned activities, we could only watch Hermano if we picked him up on Friday night.  We headed to the farm at 7 pm and then came home from the farm at 11 after playing.  The boys went to bed at 12 midnight.  So talking and then sleep finally fell asleep.

Saturday morning, they got up at 7 am.  We had some breakfast and then headed out to cub scouts.

The boys got to work on 3 belt loops.  Here one of the boys is setting up the chess set while Bug and hermano play chess at the far end of the table.  I did not have any boys in my first session, so I was able to take pictures of them.  Hermano went around with Bug to the belt loop stations- they did Art, Computers and Astronomy today.

while they were painting, I took a look at the hallway murals.  I like the zodiac constellations and the mosaic tile sun

We came home at noon.  We had a friend come for lunch and then we went to the library for lego club.

Hermano took the pictures for this activities because he was not registered, but then there were some kids who did not show up, so he was able to participate.

While the boys participated in Lego club, I got books for home for Bug and I for this week, talked with N's momma and just relaxed.

After the the library, Bug, hermano and I headed to Y for some swimming.  Yes, I am trying to wear the boys out today.

Bug had  a 5 minute time out before he was allowed to swim.

The ended the swimming time by throwing plastic fish into the bucket.

Friday morning, we had some snow- very light snow.

Bug had to show off his Canadian mittens- thanks JANET!!

The boys are watching movies now and they have about 90 minutes before bed.  I might be going to bed soon after that.  It has been a busy day, but it has been an AWESOME day.

Bug says that his favorite part is having Hermano here.

For me, the best part was watching the boys have so much fun today.

Sleepover with Hermano (at our house)

Hermano came over last night and stayed for a sleepover.  The boys stayed up until 11 pm and then we all went to bed. The boys shared the bed in the spare room and I heard them talking until 11:30 pm.  It might have been crowded with 2 boys and 2 bears, but they seemed fine.  I checked on them during the night and all was well.  I wanted to take a picture of them sleeping, but I was too scared to wake them up.  It was bad enough that the dog was awake at 3 am this morning. he boys woke up right around 8 am this morning.

Once the boys got up and got going , I took them to McDonald's for pancakes and play time.  They spent 1.5 hours playing.  Even though it was freezing outside, the boys were sweating from playing so hard.

There was very little pancake eating- I think they both ate 1 pancake. But they had fun and they ran off some energy, which was the plan.

After playing, we went to pick up Mam for a trip to the grocery store.  Unfortunately, Mam was not back from her errand even though we waited for her for 30 minutes.  The boys played cars in the car.  The sounds of playing from the backseat was so precious.

At the store, they each got a shopping cart to push around- yet another way to wear them out.  45 minutes of walking thru the grocery store and there were 2 tired boys in my car.

We came home and while I put away groceries, they played trains and cars.

And then we headed out to drop hermano off.  We met his mom at the half way point between our houses.  The boys played electronic games in the backseat.  Bug was disappointed that he did not get to play hermano's game system one last time before we got to the drop off point.  But he had a good time with Hermano.

even Pablo had a good time with Hermano.  I think Hermano has a way with animals.  He has a gift.

Hermano and Bug have a sleep over at our house- before bed

We met up with Hermano and his parents for dinner tonight.  They came back to our house to exchange Christmas presents.  While preparing for the night to end, Hermano asked to spend the night.  Since there is no school tomorrow, Hermano is spending the night with us.

The boys are cleaning up for bed time.  They have asked that I not read them a story or chapter tonight.
