Alfombras in Price Hill

Today we headed down to where we used to go to Spanish Church.  One of the local groups was making Alfombras (the sawdust carpets from the Holy week parades in Guatemala)
they had the pattern marked out for everyone.

The color sawdust ready to be spread on the pattern

So you can see the size relative to Bug.

On the wall were the way they would look when finished.  An artist from Guatemala designed these and he was on hand to see them filled in.

Afterward, we got empanadas from a local food truck

Bug is uncertain, but I loved mine.

Bug ended up not liking his empanda, not sure why.

When we got home, there was package from the company that redid my shower- a tin of cookies! We had to eat a few while watching a movie.

Love and hugs,
Deb
