Cub Scout Spook-a-ree 2013

this afternoon, we headed out for dinner with friends and then we all headed to the cub scout Spook-a-ree (Halloween fun).

My Batman boy.  A combo costume, his batman costume I bought a few years ago with the cape that Terry sent for him to use.  I have to send the cape the back along with the costume she sent and Bug has outgrown, but the cape helped keep him warm tonight in the cool autumn air.

The group in their costumes, at cub world, with Big Boy.

Heading thru the maze.  We did not do this activity last year.  The kids seemed to enjoy it.

Skeleton Batman with his alien dog!  too cute

throwing darts in the games area.  The boy scout running the game was also dressed as Batman.  But his costume was not as cool as Bug's costume. Just some parental bias.

Basketball game.  I love how Terry put in reflective fabric in the cape- it really shows up in the dark or at twilight.

Walking in Frankenstein shoes.  Bug said this was hard and it took him a awhile to walk to the rope and back.

Last game of the night- broom ball, which was really Quiditch on the ground.  This game was way too long.  The kids should have been given 5 minutes, not 15 minutes.  By this time I was freezing and Bug was looking cold but he refused to admit it.
After this, the kids wanted to go to the Haunted Castle.  Aidan and I walked in and went to the really scary section.  Luckily, one of the workers was warning  people and turned us around.  Bug refused to go to the not scary section and we waited outside for the rest of the group.  After the group came out, I let Bug know that it was time for us to go, I was cold and tired and he was looking tired since it was after bedtime.  Another family was leaving too, so we had friends to walk out to the parking with and then follow back to the interstate.

It was a good night.
