another week without updates, so I am playing catch up with pictures.
Earlier this week, M1 gave Bug, M2 and E1 some lessons in playing basketball. M1 has a gentle spirit with the other kids and is very patient with them. Bug was loving the time to play basketball with M1 and learn some skills.
Tonight, we went to a local football game. It was elementary school night and bug got in free. We found a seat up at the top of the bleachers and then found our friends in another section, so we moved.

football players warming up
all the elementary school kids were invited down to the field to welcome the players at the start of the game. Bug refused to go down on the field.

all the 3rd graders hanging out chatting. It is the beginning of them turning into high school students. I could see it as I watched them, they are no longer little, but are becoming young men and women and separating from their parents. I was sitting with the moms watching the game and watching the kids play/hang out behind us.

E and P- silliness, typical boys being silly.

just being kids and having fun
during a break in the action, start of halftime, the stadium played some songs that got the kids moving and grooving.
more dancing
it was so interesting tonight, to see high school football players that only 8-10 years older than Bug. I can not imagine him being that old or big. But then as bug and his friends played and hung out, I could see the teenagers they will be. I hope and pray this group of precious kids grow up remembering that friends are a gift and that they are stronger together. They are all good kids and wonderful friends to each other.
Love and hugs,
Deb
