soccer and birthday celebration

We only have a few more weeks of soccer left.  Mam, Lulu, Uncle Darrell and Jas came today to take pictures, watch Bug and then head over to our house for Uncle Darrell's birthday celebration.  The pictures are a combination of pictures form my camera, Mam's camera and Lulu's camera, so I will do my best to describe what is going on.
we started with some warming up

Then head over for our official team photo (they had a photographer on site today).  One team member was not here today and she has never missed.  We have Mr. T, T, O, L, Ty, N, C, Bug and Me.  I am the head coach, but Mr T helps every week.  He is so helpful.  We are both kneeling next to our boys.

Int eh game- our gold  team was playing the white team

directing the team

Bug coming off the field in the 4th quarter ( 4 5 minute quarters today).  he as not happy, I actually had to pick him up and carry him off the field.  All the kids have to rotate out during a quarter- so I sat 2 out each quarter.  Bug was not happy at all- he wanted to play the entire game.

But he needed water.

team huddle- I am kneeling down talking them.  We need to work on throw ins and corner kicks- that is goal for the next few weeks.

Run down field- the coaches are on the field helping to direct play and the guy in the white shorts and blue jacket is the referee.

One happy soccer playing Bug

Yelling to the team to direct them to go after the ball.

The coaches and their boys.

After soccer, we came home to celebrate Uncle Darrell's birthday.  We are week late, but it took much coordination to get every one's scheduled cleared.

Jason decided to dye his hair red streaks.

Uncle Dave trying to avoid having his picture taken

Bug covering his ears while we sing happy birthday to Uncle Darrell.  It is so funny, Bug will not sing to anyone, but he sings Happy Birthday when he and I are in a separate room signing the birthday card.

I got Uncle Dave- he is telling me something. HEHEHEHE
Bug blowing out the candles- Jas helped from the other end of the table,s o 3 boys blowing out candles and it still took them 2 tries.

After dinner we were treated to a visit by Batman.

and a Ninja Turtle.

Here are some of the pictures from Mam and Lulu

The guy in the blue shirt is the photographer.  I am leading the kids in stretches.
Bug helping to lead stretches too.  I give all the kids time leading

getting some more water.  Today was a cooler day, but the kids still ran for 30 minutes.  usually they have 30 minutes of practice, then 2 15 minute halves for a total of 60 minutes.  with pictures today, we had half the time and were still running quite behind due to the time in pictures.

That was  fun day.

Love and hugs,
