spontaneous fun for Bug

Today, after church, Bug wanted to play with his friends but no one was home to play with him.  So a spontaneous decision on my part, and we headed downtown to the Cavalcade of Customs, which is a car show.
Pap used to show cars in this show years and years ago and he talks about taking Bug.  Maybe next year we can take Bug and the boys can talk about all the car stuff while Mam and I just wander around with them.

This is a view of half of the show. In the far back, they even had skateboard and bike stunts going on. Bug really wanted to go back down and watch that.

Bug was happy to be at the show and seeing lots of red cars.
This car is painted with P.ete R.ose pictures on it. Bug thought it was too cool!!!
Then we saw the car for Pap

And the 'hulk" truck for Bug, who was happy to model his hulk face for the camera.
Bug practiced his drag racing starts and earned a lollipop- you got 3 tries for a $1.00 and $1.00 went to support the fight against breast Cancer. So I was happy to donate and Bug was happy to push buttons.
We found this tricked out S.cion.  It does not quite look like Pap's car does.
we found the corvettes for Pap and by this time, Bug was getting tired.
 We found the Mustangs
And we saw "The Fonz".  I could have gone to talk to him, for a price and I could have gone to get a picture with him, for a price.  The price was too steep for my budget.  It was enough to see him from the edge.

And we found another corvette for Pap.
it was a good way to spend the afternoon.  It was interesting to see all the dads taking their sons to the show.  Going in, I did not see a single woman going into the building, once inside there were plenty of women, but it was just interesting.

Bug came home and slept for 3 hours and now is asleep for the night.  I guess playing with Mam and Pap on Saturday wore him out.

Love and hugs,
Deb
